Forte de São Sebastião

The Fort São Sebastião was built in 1575 and is a really beautiful example of 16th century well preserved Portuguese colonial fort. Located in the harbor of São Tomé, it's now used as a museum and hosts a religious art collection and artifacts from the colonial times. One of the strangest things is the remains of one of the cacao kings stored in a box under his painting. see on the map
